Sending a Fax and Checking Status from the User Control Panel (UCP)

How to Send a Fax

  1. Using the information provided by UpLync, log into your fax portal. 
  2. Click the Send Fax button.


  3. Fill out the following fields:
    1. Destination: Enter the fax number for the recipient.
    2. Resolution: Choose Standard, Fine, or Super Fine.
    3. Coversheet: Choose whether you would like the system to generate a one-page coversheet for you. Click the ON/OFF switch to toggle it. If you select ON, additional options will appear.


  4. If you're using a coversheet, fill out the following fields (they're not all required):
    1. Recipient Name: Person this fax is intended for.
    2. Message: Short message limited to 1340 characters.
    3. My Name: Sender's name.
    4. My Telephone: Sender's voice telephone number.
    5. My Email: Sender's email address.

  5. Documents must be in PDF or TIFF format. You can include one or more PDF or TIFF files in a single fax. There are two ways to add files:
    1. Click the green Upload Document button to select a file from your computer.
    2. Drag and drop a file from your computer to the Drag new documents here box.

  6. Uploaded files will be shown. You can click the PDF icon to view the file. If you need to delete a file, click the delete button.

  7. When ready, simply click the Send button to send your fax.


How to Check the Status of a Sent Fax

You can check the Outgoing folder for information on an outbound fax that is in progress.

 If the fax is sent successfully, it will move to the Sent folder. If it fails, it will move to the Failed folder.
