Installing and Using UpLync Softphone (Desktop - Mac)
UpLync Softphone for Mac
UpLync Softphone cuts the ties to the physical phone sitting on your desk. Available for mobile and desktop, the UpLync Softphone app immediately transforms your personal device into your business office extension. You can call or text using your business number from any location.
Note: UpLync provides this softphone client for advanced Mac users who can install and configure it on their own. UpLync is unable to provide application and installation support for the softphone while using the Mac platform.
1. Click the following Link to download the uplync_softphone.dmg below.
2. Locate and double-click the downloaded file. It will open a new Finder window containing the UpLync Softphone application.
3. Drag the UpLync_Softphone.app icon to your Applications folder, replacing any existing version of this application if asked. Your Applications folder can be found under the Finder’s Go menu or by locating the Applications folder in your dock.
4. Start the UpLync_Softphone.app application from the Applications folder. The first time you run the application, Finder will prompt you to permit the application to open. Select Open.
5. The first time you run the application, you will be presented with a login screen. Please input the credentials you’ve been provided or contact UpLync Support to obtain your credentials securely.
If you experience installation issues, please contact your internal IT support team. They may need this file to install the application instead - Mac Package Installer (pkg).
