Basic Call Handling - Making, Answering, and Placing Calls on Hold

Place a Call (Watch Video Example)

  • Calls can be made by picking up the handset or by pressing the speaker button
  • Dial an outside number or an extension
  • Press Send to place the call (or wait three seconds for the digit timeout to expire)

Answer a Call (Watch Video Example)

  • When the phone is ringing, pick up the handset/receiver
  • To answer hands-free (on speaker), press the speaker button
  • To answer using a headset, press the headset button

Reject a Call 

  • When the telephone is ringing, press the Reject button to send it to voicemail.

Redial

  • Press the RD or Redial button to redial the last number called

Place a Call on Hold (Watch Video Example)

  • Press the Hold button
  • Place the receiver on your desk or in the cradle.

Retrieve a Call from Hold

  • Press the Hold button 

Do Not Disturb (DND)

  • Press the DND button to toggle the phone into Do Not Disturb mode
